The Lumia Blog was recently invited to join Nokia on a Photographic Adventure with Lumia, The Purpose of the event was to experience the Nokia Lumia 925 and the Nokia Lumia 1020 on a photographic adventure in Dubai and Oman. Arrival to Dubai was as always, amazing and it is quite an adventure visiting Dubai and seeing how this amazing metropolitan city is constantly evolving, it is an adventure visiting Dubai alone but add to the adventure the Lumia 925 and the Lumia 1020 and you have a great experience, that is a once in a lifetime opportunity. After arriving to Dubai we headed on a 2 hour drive to Musandam, Oman. Where we boarded a boat and headed out to sea  to discover the wonder of the bioluminescent waters and capture this natural phenomenon using the Nokia Lumia 925’s highly advanced camera.

The weather and the boat ride were amazing and the experience of the Nokia Lumia 925 was a superb photographic experience, combined with the experience of the Nokia Lumia 1020 the trip was a great adventure. Accompanying us were engineers and imaging gurus from Nokia and they made our experience even more fun.

Marcus Olsson, Lead Program Manager at Nokia Imaging in Finland, giving us a presentation on the Nokia Lumia 925 and The Nokia Lumia 1020. Great informative presentation by Marcus.

I was very impressed with the both the Lumia 925 and the Lumia 1020 and I fell in love with photography after this trip. Experiencing the power of the Lumia 925 and 1020 combined with the Pro Cam application allowed us to capture high quality photos and experience low light photography in a whole new level.

The Next morning we headed back to Dubai for the most amazing ride ever, a helicopter tour above the great city of Dubai. With us was the Nokia Lumia 1020 the best camera phone on the market today, period. I could not believe that such a slim, small and light form factor can take such crisp images. The Lumia 1020 is truly the future of mobile phone photography and Nokia smartly designed this phone, trust me, until you see the lumia 1020 and feel it in your hands you will not understand my excitement and passion about this device. Nokia managed to crate a great camera phone that is not too intrusive to carry and that really delivers on its promise. The first image on this post is the raw image taken by a Nokia Lumia 1020, click on it and you will see how huge the raw image is.

I had the chance to experience the equally clever camera grip module for the lumia 1020 which really adds comfort in allowing you to take great photos. I am throwing away my Sony camera and will be using only the 1020 from now on.

I am attaching the low res version of the pics 5 MP but I can share on different posts the high res version of the pics, please let me know if you would like to see them in another post.

After our helicopter adventure we headed out to watch a live rehearsal of a great band that is based in Dubai, The band name is Fatiniza, the purpose of this was to experience the video recording of the Nokia Lumia 1020 and how it can capture sound without any distortion whatsoever. The whole experience and privilege of viewing the live rehearsal of Fatiniza and filming it with the 1020 was a rather unique experience and i can tell you this, The Nokia Lumia 1020 is the phone to beat, this is a message to other vendors. Its a marvel of engineering and software design. What Windows Phone was missing, Nokia brought to the table. Nokia really added their brilliant finnish touch to a great mobile OS.

I have uploaded the video in low res, sorry about that, considering the time it takes to upload to YouTube, But I will also be uploading the full res video on my YouTube channel.

Our amzing adventure ended with night shots in Dubai Marina and what a Lumia adventure it was. By the time you finish reading this blog post i urge you to go and buy the Lumia 1020 and fall in love with photography.

Thank you Nokia for a great unforgettable adventure.
