Nokia Lumia Fans in the Region Get Instagram

Dubai, UAE, 26 November 2013: Nokia Lower Gulf has today announced the availability of Instagram, one of the world’s most popular imaging apps, for its range of Lumia smartphones. Instagram enables users to transform their pictures into works of art and instantly share with their social networks and followers. Having Instagram on Nokia’s Windows-based smartphones makes the Nokia Lumia devices the ideal for smartphone photography enthusiasts in the Middle East.

“It’s music to the ears of Windows Phone ecosystem users. The availability of Instagram now completes the unprecedented imaging experience Nokia has in-store for smartphone imaging fans. We look forward to watching the Middle East Windows Phone community use Instagram to capture and share beautiful moments using the best in imaging innovation from Nokia,” said Vithesh Reddy, General Manager, Nokia Lower Gulf.

The Windows Phone Instagram app supports the rear and front-facing cameras, so users can take the best selfies, as well as capture the world around them. As with many other Windows Phone apps, Instagram for Windows Phone will have a Live Tile which updates with data on the Start screen as well as support for fast-resume. This helps the app feel at home on the OS.

Commenting on the availability of Instagram on the Windows Store, renowned local mobile photography expert Daniel Cheong said, “The availability of Instagram completes the missing link for Nokia smartphone imaging enthusiasts. While Nokia Lumia 1020 is an amazing device to capture all the details, Instagram helps you bring it to life and share it with your social media followers with the drama it warrants. This will certainly make Nokia Lumia the device of choice for consumers with a penchant for mobile photography.”
